Weston is a city known for its upper class demographic, excellent
schools, beautiful parks and recreation, gorgeous landscaping, and
minimum traffic. When you arrive here, you will quickly notice the
difference from neighboring cities. As a planned community,
it is comprised mainly of gated developments with exclusive
golf course, parks and recreation, and houses of worship, dining,
and schools. Soccer and baseball games are played weekly on the 16
fields at Regional Park in Weston, and its seven roller-hockey rinks
and basketball courts are filled regularly. Since its incorporation
in 1996, Weston has become one of the fastest-selling planned
communities in the nation and is now home to 61,532 residents.
Median home value in Weston is $431,200 and median household income
is $83,300. Home prices here are generally about 15% higher than
the surrounding cities. Schools are all rated “A”, even the high
school which unique for the area. Most of the homes here were built
between the years of 1994 to 1997. There are a few gated
communities that have new homes built since year 2000. Although
newer, these communities tend to have smaller lots than the older
communities.
